Introducing the Grip Mat Black Version (v3) & Care Tips
Hello everyone!
We're happy to introduce the newest version of our Grip Mat, now with a black guide sheet and improved grip!
If you've used our Grip Mats before, you know how handy they are for ink blending and stenciling. Made from photopolymer, the mat holds your cardstock and stencils in place without tape or adhesive, making it easier to work with layered designs.
Watch Our Grip Mat Tips in Action
We've put together a video showing how to use, clean, and care for your Grip Mat, including a few tips to help you get the best grip while working.

What's New in Version 3?
A Black Guide Sheet
The biggest visual change is the black printed acetate guide sheet, replacing the green grid from Version 2.
When you press a stencil onto the mat, the areas making contact appear slightly darker against the black background. This makes it easier to see where your stencil is gripping the mat, so you can press down where needed.
A Tackier Feel
We've also increased the tackiness of the photopolymer in Version 3 to give your cardstock and stencils a better grip while you work.
Three Popular Sizes
We've narrowed the lineup to our three most popular sizes based on how our customers use their Grip Mats.

Version 2 was available in five sizes and will remain on our website while supplies last.
A Few Tips for Using Your Grip Mat
-
For stenciling: Press your stencil onto the mat just outside the edges of your cardstock to help hold it in place. Leave the corners loose so you can lift the stencil easily when you're done.
-
To reduce shifting: Trim the corners of the black acetate guide sheet at an angle. This allows more of the Grip Mat to make contact with your work surface, helping it stay in place.
-
For the best grip: Smooth cardstock works best. The amount of grip may vary depending on the paper's texture and weight.
Cleaning and Storage
A little care goes a long way in keeping your Grip Mat ready for your next project!
-
Clean with water or a photopolymer-safe cleaner as needed.
-
Avoid alcohol and chemical-based cleaners.
-
Store flat on the included clear sheet.
-
Avoid placing heavy items on top during storage.
